Lantana of Texas is an all purpose seasoning that may be used on any food that you would normally use salt and pepper. If sprinkled on meats and covered a few hours before cooking, it will not only flavor, but work to tenderize the toughest cut. DO NOT USE SALT AND PEPPER WITH LANTANA.

Sift scramble as many eggs as you desire with butter or Pam, then sprinkle on LANTANA for a most unusual taste. Try the same with fried eggs. |
HAMBURGER
Season both sides of meat with LANTANA as you would with salt and pepper. Broil on both sides until desired amount of cooking is acquired. |
1 Two
pound bag of pinto beans
Clean Beans. Pick out broken or half beans and remove all rock, sticks, etc. Rinse beans at least 3 times. Add water, at least 4 inches over beans. Add 2 tbl. Of all purpose seasoning. Allow beans to set in seasoned water at least 8 hours. Do not pour seasoned water off beans. Add additional water, at least 4 inches over beans. Bring to a brisk boil, be careful not to scorch beans. Reduce heat gradually to a medium boil. Cook for about 3 hours and add ham hocks. Beans will need to cook for about 5 to 7 hours, until tender not hard or mushy. 45 minutes to 1 hour before beans are done add salsa mix. Maintain 3 to 4 inches of water over beans. You will need to add water 2 or 3 times during cooking. If beans are to soupy to your taste do not add water the last hour or so. You may decide to add more all purpose seasoning, but do not do so until after you add salsa mix. |
